Jim Smoak: Music

Tired Of Being Lonesome

(Jim Smoak)
Grandpa Jones sung about Old Rattlers' Pup, and Here Rattler Here. I thought I'd come up with a different kind dog story.
An old spotted dog hanging.
'round my door,
Ain't got no collar, he's been here before.
Nobody owns him he's just like me;
Tired of being lonesome, but used to being free.

So sit down Spot, and have a little whine;
You bark about your women, I'll bark about mine.
We're two of a kind you and me;
Tired of being lonesome, but used to being free.
